1861 O Seated Half Dollar Speared Olive Bud W-15, WB-104 PCGS XF-40
A crusty original circulated example of this scarce Confederate Seated half dollar variety. This half dollar was struck by the Confederacy after the New Orleans Mint was captured in 1861 by CSA forces. This die variety is identified by two lines going through the uppermost olive bud on the reverse and is highly desirable by both Civil War and Seated half dollar collectors. A true piece of US history!
